obviously there's a lot of serious ethical reasons fatphobia sucks but also it's so annoying that I can't just say "I'm huge" and have it be percieved as a neutral statement rather than self-deprecating. Like oh my god no, I DON'T mean "It's a shame I'm not smaller," what I mean is "I can throw well over 200lbs at someone anytime I want by simply jumping or flopping over, and many people cannot lift 200lbs so they couldn't even stop me"
I have an awesome conspiracy theory for you relating to jax tadc
contrary to common intentions authors have when making such characters, making a character low empathy is one of the fastest ways to get me to like them. "isn't it freaky that this guy just doesn't understand what they do to people? aren't you so unsettled and creeped out right now" bro you have just described to me a tragic tale of isolation wherein the chasm of separation only grows wider & deeper with every attempt to reach beyond
"obsessive compulsive disorder"? ha....i think you mean i have a Philosopher's Soul. and also The Demon
tl ; dr my long post btw

genuinely speaking from experience if you find yourself only ever taking male characters seriously for analysis and headcanons and all that , you have to just start picking female characters to take seriously as well and just like ask yourself all the questions about her that you already have answers to for the dudes. you might feel like you have to look harder at first but thats because almost every story youve ever absorbed has reinforced the idea that you should mostly be paying attention to the men. its not going to instantly make you immune to misogyny but it beats complacency. if your unconscious biases have shaped what you surround yourself with, you can consciously reshape it. you can learn to think about female characters as people more often on reflex by thinking about them as people more often on purpose
