I’m somewhat hoping for Lord Canopus to be female. We can think of the “household” at Sphere Music Hall in two ways.

Either a replacement for the old Phantomhive family to Ciel:1. Lord Sirius/Ciel instead of Vincent.2. Lord Canopus could represent either Rachel or Madam Red. If Lord Canopus represents Madam Red, then Lizzie would represent Rachel. If Lord Canopus represents Rachel, then we can leave Lizzie out of this – Lizzie would just represent herself.3. The two Lords of Vega to represent the Phantomhive twins.4. Lord Polaris to represent Tanaka (notice I say represent. I *don’t think* it’s actually Tanaka).

Or as a parallel to the Trancy household in season two:1. Lord Sirius/Ciel instead of Jim/Alois.2. Lord Canopus instead of Hannah.3. The two Lords of Vega instead of the demon triplets (Timber, Thomas, and Canterbury).4. Lord Polaris already says he’s a butler, so he’s the shoo-in for Claude.

Either way, or if it’s even something different from those two scenarios, I think Lord Canopus still has a decent chance of being female. If it’s to be anyone from the circus, my money would be on Doll. The change in speech (it’s very different from the way Doll spoke before) could be explained by her personality being altered somehow… or by her being taught/trained to speak this way now. But it doesn’t have to be anyone from the circus.

I’d also like to note that the Mother game series uses the same formula for its *protagonist* teams (the antagonist teams are never set up so specifically in the games).

Mother has four *main* protagonists: Ninten, Ana, Teddy, and Lloyd. A girl named Pippi can be played temporarily, too, so I’ll mention her.

Mother2 has four *main* ones: Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Prince Poo.

Mother3 also has four *main* protags: Lucas, Boney (the dog), Violet/Kumatora, and Duster. I’ll mention Salsa (the monkey) because he can be added for a short time. (The first three chapters are from different POV’s, so the teams before Lucas takes over in chapter four don’t count here, but they would be *headed* by Flint, Duster, and Salsa.)

For Black Butler, our main team of protagonists *might* end up looking like: the earl, Sebastian, Gregory Violet, and Edward. If Lizzie comes back to the earl’s side, then we can pair her up with Edward to fight as one (like a team within a team). We also could get more help from the Phantomhive servants (mostly Finny) or the Midford maid, Paula… but I don’t expect Finny, Paula, or anyone else to become part of the core team.

Since the twins seem to be competing in some game of mental chess, a somewhat equal number of main antagonists can be expected. The above Sphere Music Hall “household” would do nicely. Following the formula, I’d expect at least one of the lords to be female. I think *one* of the Vega lords is female, and Lord Canopus might be, too.

But even if Lord Canopus turns out to be male, I still see no reason to bring Baron Kelvin back… not in any way, shape, or form.

Side note: Another reason to consider that at least one of the "lords" might be a "lady"? Nina specifies that her creations for the Blue Sect are unisex. That's not just for the people attending special events. We know Lord Sirius wore the same design that the earl wore when he attended that Sirius event. Re: eating. I used to do (and still do a little) much the same thing. It sounds like my impulse wasn't as strong as yours, but I definitely ate after I was full because stuff tasted good. What helped me was realizing that it was mostly about the taste and it wasn't making me happy (that's something I really try to pay attention to). Now I try to eat slower (i still eat fast) and just... be more mindful of my body and when I'm full. Anyway, mostly trying to say that you're not the only one.

Thank you!  It IS about the taste, you’re right, and not whether I’m full, but I’m so terrible at eating slowly I’ll speed up halfway through whatever I’m eating.  Savoring is not something I’m very good at.

It’s so weird, because it looks like other people eat “normally,“ but then, I only ever overeat when I’m alone.  If I’m out with people, or at home with family, I can restrain myself by using “shame on the brain“ and realizing that I don’t need to eat as much.  Does that make sense?  Basically, my brain won’t listen to my tongue when I’m around other people.
