the werewolf howls to me at night

because i know just how she feels.

when the moon bathes me in soft light,

it changes me and soon reveals

a feral, bloodthirsty canine,

moon drunk, waiting for the bus line.

because i know just how she feels,

alone and scared on a monday

night. hoping that she sees the wheels

of a bus that was due sunday.

i know how it feels to wait for

something that won’t happen; for more.

when the moon bathes me in soft light

i too, do become out of place.

a monster among girls, despite

all i do to alter my face,

alter my heart, alter my soul.

yet the moon knows its in control-

it changes me and soon reveals

my blood stained fangs and sharpened claws

that i use for my three square meals

but i lie about it because

girls don’t eat, and girls don't get fat.

and they don’t get dirty, at that.

a feral, bloodthirsty canine

walks among the packs of humans.

without a howl, without a whine,

for only under the lumens

of the moon is she now alert,

heading to town from the outskirts,

moon drunk, waiting for the bus line.

going to meet the girl somewhere,

the one whose soul is intertwined

with the wolf’s in an odd affair

of loving the wolf when i’m her,

and then she’s just me but with fur.

The next chapter of daddy Hange may be delayed (not that I even have a posting schedule) or I will ignore my grief by hyper focusing on it. I am not sure. Sorry. I had to say goodbye to my cat yesterday. Loved her so much. I am just not sure how to process it right now. Sorry
