I wanna cuddle with Adam on the couch like he would be so good at cuddling
he’d just put his head on your thighs with hands on your waist…
mmngh….
I ration my wistful thoughts of you, the soft imaginings of a future not to be.
I use these soft thoughts of you, of us, to calm my brain to sleep. They work better some days then others.
I conjure up the warmth of your body behind me, head tucked in to the nook of my neck, hand open palmed resting on my heavy with child belly.
By morning you and the child are gone and I feel the old seeping back in again.
Slowly but surely the conjuring stops working. The mirage starts to carry the emotions it was taking when summoned, the warmth is never as warm as it could be again.
One day I'll stop trying to summon you when I can't sleep. But I think I will have to have found someone who can actually be the one to hold me like that. Because just the thought of being held by you feels so addictive.
Listen, I don't need the 14th of February to let you know how it feels whenever you smile at me. I don't need that day to tell you how much I love you when you're lost talking about what you love. Nor do I need that day to let you know how the littlest of things you do, affects me on every single possible way I can imagine. I don't need valentine's day to let you know how much I adore you. - because everyday is Valentine's day with you.
Her heart beats for him. Her soul longs for his possession.
Baby, you’re my heroin. No...really....I’m actually addicted.
“Our mind can be such a powerful tool, trying to convince us that faux realities, that our body, the true gauge of things, is totally in opposition to. But this is only one part of the addiction puzzle there's a lot more to it. Trauma bonding creates an enormous reason why we get hooked in, and even feel like we will die without the narcissist even if we know that we're dying as a result of staying. When we boil it all down, the biggest reason I believe the addiction is physiological; it's the peptide addiction. To put it simply, the hypothalamus in our brain regarding our interpretation of events which is the brain signal it receives, is sent to the hypothalamus, creates an emotional cocktail known as a peptide, it's an actual chemical, an amino acid chain chemical, and there's a different peptide for every emotional state such as joy, loss, anger, fear, and there can even be more specific ones such as heartbreak, powerless, victimization. So there's great peptide and there's really bad peptides. Science with Lab Rats found that when peptides are dispensed to rats, now it doesn't matter whether they good or they are bad, they are more addictive than any synthetic narcotic and the rats will forgo or food, self care, and even water in favor of getting their hit of a peptide their addicted to, and it can be a nasty one, the cells are unconditional, they don't care. Now how it works with humans is this the emotional cocktail that our brain produces and spreads throughout our entire body is then accepted by specific receptors which is specific to every particular peptide in every cell in our body. So the bigger the emotional intensity of any event means the more peptides on that topic have been created, the more that peptide hits our cells, the more the cells of our body takes it in and gets hooked on that peptide. As our cells continually split and multiply the receptor docking point to receive the peptide that is commonly absorbed doubles. This means that we literally get addicted and hard wired to any emotional states that we're receiving large emotional doses through our cellular network, we become a hardened addict to states like anger, victimization, powerlessness, resentment, heartbreak, and betrayal, all biggies that are synonymous with narcissistic abuse. Negative peptides like junk and toxins are extremely damaging. They strip cells of oxygen and nutrients and they break down their integrity. This causes a snowball of more of these terrible emotional states and the more we produce them the more we were receive them, the more we get hooked on them, it's a full on cycle. When you start detoxing, meaning, trying to stay away from the narcissist, if your cells have not received their peptide of choice for a while, the cells will hold back some of the peptide and then secrete it out into the blood stream, then it hits your brain, which then is forced to think about the narcissist again and all the horrible things that they've done to you, to reproduce that peptide and before long you are easily back in the stinking thinking, which is the obsession about the painful things that happened so that your hypothalamus receives more of these signals. So then peptide is then manufactured in your hypothalamus again and it's dispensed, and your cells heave a sigh of relief as a result of having their hard core addiction fulfilled. So this is why when you get on abuse forums and vent or break no contact, and initially you may feel relief. You may feel better, but then because of having taken that action that cementing you in more of the state that you're attempting to break free from, it all comes back even harder again. I hope you understand that leaving and getting off and away from the narcissistic habit, the habit of being hooked to a narcissist is like detoxing from the hardest drug you could possibly imagine, it's a physiological, chemical, and emotional deal. And as we all found out, it can't just be addressed within your mind. Your brain in trauma and addiction this severe can only give you every thought and reason to keep you stuck in the trauma and go back to the source of the trauma; the narcissist truly. So that's what cognitive dissonance really is.”
