My new toy: Addictive Keys

I’ve been expanding my sample libraries little by little over the past few years.  As I have a little extra cash that I’ve earned from composing jobs, I like to purchase a new composing tool.  One crucial instrument that I didn’t have was a great sounding piano.

A few months ago I purchased Addictive Keys by XLN Audio.  I had already been using the free demo versions of Addictive Drums and Addictive Keys.  I think there was a summer sale because I got it for about half price.  I remember paying about $40-50. I’m very happy with Addictive Keys.  Most sample libraries are very expensive but this one was very reasonable.  You could argue that you don’t get a lot, and really per instrument this is an expensive library.  That may be true but it felt nice to spend a small amount and get a new instrument. There are about 20 presets and only about 5-6 of them are useable in multiple contexts.  I do like the sound for the price but I’m sure there’s much nicer piano sample libraries out there.
