#they really do have a lot of interesting parallels?#and in the show they make it a lot less simple than like#Wilhelm is the Good Version Of The Archetype and August is the Bad Version Of The Archetype#like it’s more complicated than that!#but i’m also wary of the way the August Is Complex refrain has become a sort of thought-terminating cliche in YR fandom#and perhaps an action-terminating cliche as well#in that we talk about his complexity in a way that makes him sound more like a dry literature class character#and less of a fun doll we can play with in fanfic.#but also. *takes august out of my toybox*#look at this boy. his neuroses are glorious. no i will not be taking questions.#OH AND BY THE WAY#adding a disclaimer!#no one has done anything wrong and this is not a callout post or anything#this is more me having a laugh over not wanting to sound like a broken record. if that makes sense.
