Sanvers Week
Day Five
Domestic
She never thought this day would come. She never thought that she could have a wife or a (pseudo)kid. She never thought that she’d meet that kid’s girlfriend or that that girlfriend would be as charming and adorable as this young lady (Jasmine, or Jazz, Kenaan) with her nose ring and big smile and half-shaved haircut. And Adrian seemed so damn happy with her, which he’d always seemed to think was impossible, too. Alex had been so happy to meet her and had invited them in and sat them down at the table with tea and they’d talked for hours, like a real family.
And Maggie tries not to cry, because she just…she never thought she could have this.
But she does and it’s real and she’s real and somehow the gorgeous woman holding her hand and stroking their son’s stubbly cheek while he has his arm wrapped around his gorgeous girlfriend…it’s all real. And it’s her life and she has honestly never been this happy before.
If she could take a picture of this moment and go back in time to show her fourteen-year-old self that this is all possible, then she’d do it in a heartbeat. But, for now, she just tightens her hand around her wife’s(!!!) and listens to their son tell them how he met the most beautiful woman in the world.
And it’s perfect.
@queercapwriting I wrote your boy a girlfriend I hope that’s okay
