jul 4, 2020. 1:33pm: moody tones + coffee + add maths blues (literally, but not really metaphorically?)
here are some add maths notes I'm doing in prep for our eoy paper next week. I think truly, with add maths, I have finally found purpose of doing my own 'notes' - for modern maths, I've always just had a print out of some equations sheet I found online, but ykno, add maths is different.
my notes consist of important formulae, and step-by-step how to solve certain problems and questions. I find having sample q's really help in refreshing my memory about the topic/subject - the formulae alone is only so helpful. plus, cambridge gives you all the formulae anyway in the exam paper.
hoping to get some history notes done soon after this (*˘︶˘*).。*♡ and have a productive day today.
🎶 my classical music playlist: 8h, 27min of (imo) the best classics round. it's ever growing, so drop some reccs :)
Why did I ever think additional mathematics was a good idea
If my murder is reported tomorrow, it was differentiation and integration who killed me ok
when ur so tired of careless mistakes, u start to type -2+3 in ur calculator 5-6 weeks left to o's !!!
CAIE IGCSE additional maths resources <3
This list can also be used to study for GCSE further maths!
Hey! As an add maths student, I figured there aren't many add maths resources (they're rare as a hen's tooth) so here's a compilation. I'll update this as I find more things, too, with my tips and advice.
Disclaimer: none of these resources are mine, unless otherwise stated. I've only compiled them together here.
a really helpful blog from a maths tutor (he's really funny as well)
you can find a ton of practise questions organised by topic here - go to a level maths and do the pure maths topics because they don't have further maths gcse (to my knowledge)
complete guide to drawing simple graphs!
edexcel a level revision notes (a lot of pure maths notes here)
all formulas from pure 1 maths (I think it might be CAIE, but I'm not sure). Really useful in general, though.
a level pure 1 & 3 maths notes. this is REALLY good. it has worked examples and practice questions, too!
common mistakes made in igcse add maths and how to fix them!
Starfish Maths: I LOVE her videos - she explains everything extremely clearly and goes through worked examples which you can do alongside her. She does have a more advanced (A Levels) focus, but that should be really helpful as it's more similar to what add maths is.
TheGCSEMathsTutor: Lifesaver much? I seriously highly suggest these videos. He has hour-long videos that cover a ton of content. I like to pop these on in the background when I do work, too.
Mathsaurus: Absolute legend. His videos are amazing.
I'll add more as I go, but that's about it for now. I hope this helps anyone doing additional or further maths at igcse/gcse level.

28/6 5:01pm 2/100 i swear i've been doing a lot, but i lack the willpower to post it here and the lack of original content on my blog has been disturbing me for a long period of time. protip: copy your formulas on a sheet of paper so you don't have to constantly flip your notes when you're doing practices! ramadhan kareem to all my muslim friends, day23 and going strong!
