Given all the discussions around privacy and address book violations, we wanted to state our privacy standards unequivocally. We use the address book only for social sharing from within the app, your address book information is NOT sent to our servers.
On Android we ask for explicit permissions to access the address book while on iOS there is not such provision.
While we are on this topic, we also wanted to let you know about privacy concerns around your location. Given that you dont need to register/sign in to use our app, we dont have identity information for all users. We only have this information if you have connected to a social service (aka Twitter/FB). None of identity information is shared with our partners.
We dont need a privacy summit to do the right thing!
