If the IDW Sonic is as gay as you hope, what would be the best possible ship for it to embrace?

Oh, Sallicole without a doubt

Sega doesn’t even want the games’ characters to be in STRAIGHT relationships (Amy’s unrequited crush on Sonic being the one exception), so I don’t expect them to let Ian make any of those characters gay

But Sallicole was a relationship that Ian was pushing in the tail end of his Archie run, and it’s a pretty great pairing imo. If IDW lets him bring those two back I have no doubt in my mind there will at least be some more delicious intentional romantic subtext

To be honestly, I mostly hear about it secondhand (and I don’t think I actually follow anyone who’s gone and read the whole thing), but yeah, none of what I’ve glimpsed has interested me in the slightest, and I especially blame Snyder for taking Morrison’s God-Joker to new lows.
