So I’m doing class work right now but I’m bored so here’s my analysis on death time in dream smp.
(I’m on mobile so formatting is likely horrendous)
So yesterday tommy said he was in death time between 3-7 months, my theory even prior to this statement is that death time = in game time so I did the math, I’ll attach the math so YALL don’t have to do it.
So there are 1,440 minutes in a day x by 3 bc Tommy was dead for that many irl days
That gives us 4,320 total minutes.
Next step is dividing by 20 bc one Minecraft day(plus night technically) so
Number of days = 216 so that’s 200+ days so months I don’t have the energy to use an exact average so I’m pretending all months are 30 days for this, it shouldn’t make a huge difference.
So months = 7.2
Aka they top of Tommy’s estimated range, this doesn’t have huge repercussions yet but it gives a better sense of just how long he was trapped and how jarring coming back was.
I always found it interesting that they don’t operate on in game time even if it does make sense so them bringing it in is super interesting and I’m excited to see what they do with it.
(It also gives perspective on how long Wilbur might have been alone I’m new to the fandom but he was first to permadie by a good bit right?)
