My therapist wanted me to get evaluated for ADHD so today I spent three hours matching patterns and reciting back lists of words and numbers and looking at shapes and then drawing them from memory. It felt like the childhood “gifted kid” tests except with an overlying guilt that I was using sick time from work to be there.
I do not think I have ADHD - I think the symptoms that overlap are borne out of anxiety, based on when they started and how I functioned as a kid versus now. But who knows!

Got evaluated for adhd. Did a bunch of weird little tests to test my frontal lobe and working memory with like numbers and patterns and stuff.
Based on my results and the rest of the eval - I probably don't have adhd... But I might be bipolar and autistic! So... That's neat!
haha that bodes well. had to fill out a short form before my adhd evaluation in an hour and I got 27/47 for adhd symptoms. hopefully we'll discuss it and I can explain that I have anxiety, so no, I don't forget appointments, or interrupt people, or stand up when I should be sitting. 🙃

lmao I've been meaning to reply to an email about scheduling an adhd evaluation for literally a week, feeling increasingly guilty and like a garbage person for not doing it, and I finally did it and it took less than 5 minutes to type it up.
