Oh hey it’s ADHD Awareness Month. Send me your ADHD OCs!
We’re a week in and I just found out but that’s still plenty of time! I’ll be posting a few of my own as well! =) As usual, reasons are great, but a simple statement is all we need here.
Claire (that mouse girl on the left) is a college-bound 19 yr old with ADHD!!
She wants to be a journalist and is struggling with keeping a job, studying, & solving a local mystery involving missing & brainwashed persons
She’s inattentive, hyperactive & impulsive! Triple-whamy, baby! Sher hyperfixation(s) include true crime & history. She loves learning & finding the truth; she’s a reporter through-and-through!
She’s also bisexual! Lmao

It's toward the end of ADHD Awareness Month, and also toward the end of Asexual Awareness Week, so I thought I'd introduce one of my OCs who is both.
This is Adyn, he’s a sylph, which would normally mean he would gravitate toward light, airy clothing - but Adyn’s got sensory issues which make dark clothing with hoods his favorite thing. Hoods help him block things out. He also has some pretty heavy executive dysfunction, his hyperfixations are magic and linguistics, and he has a tendency to stim by winding a breeze around his fingers. Also by swishing his cloak. He also has a lot of RSD and problems with emotional regulation, especially anger.
He’s asexual and grayromantic and I could go into a lot of detail about how his ADHD interacts with his sexuality, but I’d probably write a book by accident. Anyway I love him very much.

Clockwise, starting from the little boy with the polka-dot scarf, is Candor, Autumn, Crow, Frost, Winter, Snow, Cherry and Clarity Concord. They’re a blended family consisting of four neurodivergent and four neurotypical members. Autumn, Winter and Candor are all autistic; Autumn, Winter and Clarity are all ADHD.
(OC but from a soon-to-be-published work so technically canon I guess?) Indy is an intelligence analyst with ADHD, dyslexia and PTSD. He impusively left home the day after his 18th birthday to join the French Foreign Legion because he felt so useless and didn't even think the British Army would take him. He was eventually hired by an independent intelligence organisation who loved his strengths and supported him everywhere else.
I love OCs and I love canon ADHD characters! He sounds amazing.
The main character of my webcomic (@killcount) is adhd! He’s very easily controlled by his emotions, he lacks ability to recognize social cues, and he stims a lot, ESPECIALLY with his hair!! He also hyperfixates on medical things and loves animals! Not to mention he’s the most impulsive dummy ever but I love him. A very good outlet for my own adhd!

You’ve heard of headcanons, now get ready for canons (from my head). My protagonist Jude has ADHD. He’s a vampire hunter, very hyperactive and fidgety, with a near constant internal monologue that sometimes ends up external at the wrong times. He loves dogs, music, and his boyfriend, and i love him very much. (Uh i post about my writing at danafaithwriting if anyone wants to see more abt him)

aaaaa hello idk if you still care to hear about ADHD OCs but I have one! her name’s Viel and she’s kind of a mad scientist type? she raised like one guy from the dead but it was too much of a pain for her to try it again. Her right eye is a weird shade of green because she forgot to put on goggles when working with acid, which also nearly blinded her in that eye, so her glasses have one lens WAAAY thicker than the other. She also kinda invented the fidget cube in her universe.
