Just had one of those “Oh Shit! My Meds!” moments.
This is your reminder to take your meds.
You said you’d take them as soon as you finished The Task. That was over FOUR HOURS ago.
Take a bathroom break, grab a snack, stretch a bit, get a fresh glass of water. And take your meds!
My Brain is so excited right now. I got me a surprise thunder storm. There was nothing on the radar and then, suddenly, there was a cell over my house. I LOVE me a good storm. The faster and farther the barometer drops the more my brain buzzes. I’m downright euphoric right now. Can’t focus on anything, but in a happy, giddy way.
The problem with knowing that your brain is just jerking you around, is that it doesn't actually stop your brain from jerking you around.

AND...... I got to fall on my ass like an idiot. In front of everyone. Classic. Luckily I saw it coming. Everyone but my mom saw it coming. It was one of those jumping from rock to rock in the dark and oh shit I'm not to make the next one. Tuck and roll bitches! Tuck and roll! I tucked. I rolled. I came up laughing. Everyone but my mom laughed with me. Make it funny! Once my mom saw I had zero abrasions she let it go. For now. I'm going to have to explain the whole my brain literally doesn't know which way is up thing to her. Again.
Oh shit! My alarm just went off. Anyone know what I was timing?

If I can! I didn't used to be able to. I have one of those weekly med sorter things. When I fill it on Sunday night/Monday morning I note if I need to refill This Week or Next Week. It usually takes several days before I call. (My ADHD is just Like That.) But I also CAN'T call until More Than 30 days after my last refill. (Controlled Substance.) Luckily, my doc So Gets Me and prescribed a third dose everyday - I really only need it about 42% of the time. This time of year (when I'm usually good on two doses a day) I can slip a few extras into my Go Bag (wildfire flight risk) or Call Tomorrow. I'm really lucky that I have a Doc that understands I have different needs at different times throughout the year. And he doesn't press me to treat the Anxiety separate so long as I can handle it with just the Speed.
Um, I'm not complaining at all, but who the fuck called in my prescription refill? All last week I kept forgetting to call until after the pharmacy was closed. (I can't refill online because it's a controlled substance and all that.) Then yesterday morning I got the usual text that it was ready. My siblings were visiting for the day so I wasn't able to check and the Pharmacy has been known to text me inaccurately before and I've a had a sharp increase in spam calls and texts so.... I even checked my call log to see if I'd just forgotten that I DID manage to call in. Nothing. But I just checked online it IS still marked as ready to pick up. I mean, it's the same process that would trigger the text, but.... Pretty sure this is a courtesy refill because I'm always super polite and willing to wait and as my third dose is Optional (second dose too, at that) and ADHD being the dragon it is, I tend to turn off the phone reminder and only request a refill when I've got less than a week of meds left. Pretty sure it's a Use It Or Lose It type of thing. Which will be super nice because I'll be on my Birthday Road Trip To The Ocean at the end of next month and I'll be able to call in and pick up new meds before I leave.
