Today Eunyoung makes her appearance in the arenas, clad in black and expression cool. She keeps oversight every once in a while, although the task is less about her monitoring and more about her presence being a reminder as to whom truly governs the place. The Tigers may not own it, but they certainly make the rules here.
Whether Eunyoung enjoys watching the fights usually depends on the mood she’s in. Sometimes the visual spectacle of struggle and submission intruiges her, sometimes the blunt nature of the fights makes her grow bored real soon. She prefers mindgames. She prefers blackmail and the tension behind a threat far more than making it come true (although she can appreciate violence in any form, really).
She’s got her eye on a particular fighter today. Hades, as he’s called. The young man has caught her attention before -Eunyoung knows to appreciate a pretty face- but she has never acted upon her interest. Tonight, though, is different.
Hades comes out the victor of his fight and it’s a pity, Eunyoung thinks. Approaching him after a loss would be much more convenient. A vulnerable mind is more easily invaded. But if she’s anything it’s patient. She’ll have endless opportunities to get under his skin.
When Hades retreats from the arena under thunderous applause and shouting, Eunyoung retreats from the crowd of spectators. It’s in the privacy of the backstage that she seeks Hades out, not bothering with the unwritten rules of the lockerroom. She observes him for a moment, film of sweat and grime on his skin and hair sticking attractively to his temples. The clack of her heels has announced her presence and Eunyoung simply watches as Hades takes note of her, studying his responses. “That was brutal,” she accuses, smile on her face. “Dragging out the fight that long while you had the upper hand from the very beginning. Do you enjoy toying with your opponents?”
