Wild Test Flight Over Eicken Spaceport

Tour of Areon and test flight over Eicken Spaceport. Areon is a world from Adia, Scientist by Dannis Cole, YA Science Fiction novel.

I created this city in Blender, imported all the models to VUE 2016, and created this animation in it. We are flying towards the Spaceport. This is a test flight, so unexpected things can happen! Below us are the Residence Rows. Each building is a deciplex of ten living units with several rooms. The green squares are parks, and in each one is an animal brought from 'Old Ohio'. Many are empty. Only animals that cannot reproduce are brought here for the residents to enjoy. The complex in the middle contains Areon Science Service. To the left is a reservoir where most rain is deposited. From that, an allocation goes to Kleideu to the north for their farms, supplemented by rains in their province. Kleideu is in the mountains across the Barrens. On the border is an area of dead trees encased in a clear covering called The Memory Of Trees. We are flying from the ocean, which is behind us. All around Eicken is the Barrens, with very little plant life that was native when the Bisillipians terraformed this world. They found it unsuitable for their habitation. The Areonians unofficially came from Earth in 1764, brought by a Bisillip named Lilan, and in 1840 an Elshar named Asha brought a 2nd group. Lilmerica is named for Lilan, who taught them how to build ships. Areon became a major shipbuilding facility in the 7th galaxy. Areon is where my MC came from in Adia, Scientist Discouraged scientist must discover new fuel so her colony escapes war, two days away.
