End of the Year Asks*
*for writers who didn't get to write as much this year as they would have liked.
Well, it's December. We made it through the year! It might not have been easy, but we did it! One of the things I always look forward to at the end of the year is sharing one of those fun end of year writing ask games for my friends to send in questions about the things I wrote that year. The only problem is, a lot of those question lists rely on you having written a fair amount, or they rely on you having finished major projects. I basically did neither of those things, but I still want to play, because I have a lot of hope for the new year.
So I came up with some questions that don't require a writer to have written thousands and thousands of words - and I welcome anyone who wants to reblog and use it!
Did you write something this year that you’re proud of? It could be a series, a one shot, even a snippet of dialogue within a scene - anything!
Which character or story did you daydream about the most this year? Was there a favorite daydream scenario that you hope to translate into fic?
Did you create any moodboards, playlists or other extras for any of your stories or characters? If so, show one off!
Did you read a fic that just stuck with you this year? What was it?
Did you take part in any writing challenges or fandom events this year? If not, did you see any you’d like to try next year?
Did you write anything this year that surprised you? If so, what was so surprising about it?
Speaking of next year, is there a story you’re planning to start the year working on? Want to tell us about it?
Do you think you’ll experiment with any new characters in the new year? If so, which?
What about experimenting with trope, style, theme, etc? Anything you’re looking to take a swing at this year for the first time?
Is there a story you’ve been wanting to write for a while now that you’re hoping to get to in the new year? Spill a few beans about it!
Are there any ongoing series that you hope to finish in the new year? If so, which do you want to finish first?
What if I left (insert character here) in your inbox and asked you to write a New Year’s Eve drabble? What then?
HAVE FUN! <3
