looking at my last set aaah one of my favorite moments in the drama was tenkai telling ippei "if you think you can surpass me, go ahead and try" or something along those lines. I love me a good send-off! and there are so many great moments like that in the second half of the show. one being in the ending of episode 92. another one was in the ending of episode 75. not sure if you will like those episodes, but scenes like that are the reason I love asadoras and I will probably remember them forever!

sorry for the late reply! it was already late when I came home yesterday so I had very little time left for drama binging and sleep... 😅 but it's finally the weekend for me woohoo!
when I answered "yes" to that poll, I wasn't taking the prompt in its literal sense. there are 8 billion of us making 8 billion different choices at any given moment. of course there will always be people creating art, as many in the tags have already said they would continue to do! I just didn't like a dichotomous question that forces people to pick between an obvious truth and an illogical scenario, so I'd much rather talk about things that are still kinda related to the given context than say, "I would still make art even if I were the last one to do so on earth." that would have felt like a cope. at least it would to me.
I AM disheartened to see how ai generated images have plagued pixiv and tumblr. for every fan artwork made, there are about 20 more ai generated images to overtake my feed. and when I have to skim through so many bad results, I just lose interest in what I'm searching for altogether. idk if I have the confidence to say ai won't reduce the visibility of genuine artists in the next couple of years. that was one reason for me to feel more inclined to say yes to the poll. calling out "ai slops" isn't going to bring back the visibility artists used to have, and I as an individual can't take in twice the volume of posts to be able to find the art I appreciate. right now we still have the ability to toggle off AI generated images on pixiv, but that's on the uploaders to properly label their posts as machine assisted (?) tumblr also provides us with a toggle to discourage bots from scraping our content, but do we know if they will uphold that in the future even when required?
when people think of ai, I feel like they only think about the funny hallucinations or those terrible videos where the human skin looks too smooth to be real. but the technology is still getting better behind the scenes (not a compliment). I save a lot of fansubs for movies and I do try to vest them to the best of my ability. but tbh even on a good day when I'm fully awake and sharp, I still sometimes can't tell if the subtitles I'm reading have been assisted by a machine. it's a lot more subtle than what google translate used to produce. I also keep thinking about that recent l4dy g4g4's music video (censored because I don't want this ask to appear anywhere) that was accused of using ai. the producer actually had to come out to push back on those claims. aren't we already at a stage where it's getting harder to tell real from fake, no matter how sure people are of their ability to detect ai? I don't know if the "good art always has heart" argument will hold any weight soon in the future. we humans are good at giving meanings to things. I am afraid of perceiving "heart" from ai content than I'd like to admit.
and when I said companies would make us pay for their data centers and maintenance costs, I really do believe that will end up happening. maybe it's just because I live in the US, where profits are almost always prioritized over actual humans. after all, netflix did end up showing ads to its paying customers. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ earlier this year I went to a concert where I paid $600 for a nosebleed seat that would have cost $100~ normally. thanks a lot, Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing. I don't like how my only options are to NOT get entertainment or to comply with whatever these greedy companies throw at us. maybe europe has a different set of laws, so you guys will be better off than us, idk.

I love how soft spoken Ryuya is. And it's crazy how Hana sounds so different from when she plays Chiyo. I can't wait to see how the story will unfold
well have a lot of fun 🥰 because their chemistry was off the charts for a drama that didn't even focus on their romance that much. hana is definitely one of my favorite actresses!! she always shines the brightest in anything she's in. lmk when you get to the 2nd half of ochoyan where all hell breaks loose because god those weeks were ROUGH to watch. 😔 and ryuya's mannerisms are miniscule but he just looks so effortlessly in-character; i love natural actors like that!!
