Instructions for Submitting Journal Assignments      

You are responsible for reading and adhering to the following journal homework submission policy:

Submitted assignments will comprise of three items: (1) a cover sheet, (2) WebAssign assignment sheets, and (3) the detailed calculations and arguments used to justify the answers submitted on the WebAssign assigments.

1. Use pencil only. Work in pen will NOT be graded. 2. You must show detailed and complete work for each problem. Label the work for each problem by number. 3. Work for each problem must follow under each other in consecutive order. 4. You must skip three (3) lines between the work done for each problem – no exceptions. This means there should be no use of columns. Problem 2 should follow problem 1, problem 3 should follow problem 2, etc. 5. Print out the WebAssign assignments sheet single-sided.

6. Show all the calculations needed to complete the exercises on separate paper. Use only 8 1/2" by 11" engineering grid paper, college ruled paper, or graphing paper (no torn out sheets.) Be sure you have circled your answers clearly on your work sheets. Do not skip steps. It should be detailed and orderly arranged.

7. Use 8 1/2" by 11" graph paper when you need to show graphing in completing an exercise. Be sure to draw graphs very carefully and neatly. Label important items such as intersection points. Draw the graphs large enough so I can clearly see your figures.  

8. Submit your work on single-sided pages only.

9. Neatness is essential and required. Homework that is not turned in reasonably neat will NOT be graded (this includes such things as torn paper, scratched out work, and illegible writing.) Points will be deducted for lack of neatness in those that are graded. You are aspiring to become professionals so I am expecting and requiring professionally submitted work. 10. Staple (1) the assignment(s) cover sheet on top of (2) your printed WebAssign problems and answers followed by (3) your complete, neat and well organized written solutiona at the top left corner before submitting it. I will not accept unstapled assignments.

11. Assignments Sheets are considered late if not turned in by 4 PM on the date due. No credit will be given for assignments turned in after the final exam. Due dates for Assignment Journals will be posted on Canvas.
