“there’s a good reason i asked you to dress up with me,” duckie promised her best friend, holding onto their arm as she walked them through rodeo drive in beverly hills. for all intents and purposes, it should’ve been a completely normal walk from one shop to another. but when duckie spotted a few of her old friends and the cameras she’d asked them to bring, she couldn’t hide her scheming little smile. “i think you’re gonna want to put your sunglasses on, my love,” she suggested as a small crowd of familiar ‘paparazzi’ started moving toward them with flashing cameras, shouting their names and asking for different poses. “today, we’re the celebrities.”
