I still want a wacky subplot of Adam surviving the double-sword stab and being carried to Vacuo to recover.
Blake and Sun link up again when they see each other in Vacuo. Sun's more than happy to see that Blake is alive and well, and Blake is glad to see that Sun's been doing all right, despite the constant Grimm attacks on Shade. He assures her that he's fine, but then he asks if she could teach him more to treat wounds properly. Blake thinks this is to just help out with the other Atlesian survivors, so she does.
While Sun does volunteer to help the refugees, he does step away often to tend to someone else. Blake becomes curious about what he's up to, so she follows Sun to a small home in Vacuo. She sees that he brings food and water to someone. Curious again, Blake wants to see who Sun is tending to, wondering if this could be a relative of his. So in V4 fashion, she's eavesdropping on the door of the home until it falls off its hinges and she plummets into the room.
She realizes that Sun has been housing a wounded Adam, helping him recover from the stabs. Adam is in bed, making progress with his recovery, but he's still not in the best condition to get up and strain himself. Blake balks at this, horrified that Sun is helping the once-terrorist, but Sun tries telling her that Adam has changed and wants to do better.
Blake runs off from the house, too mortified by the sight of Adam, and has to wonder what the hell she's supposed to do now that she knows her old mentor is alive.
Meanwhile, Adam is still brooding over the past, but he's trying to move past it and get better. He used to be annoyed by Sun's sunshine attitude, but he slowly began to appreciate it. Adam no longer wears an eye cover to hide his scar, not wanting to be ashamed of it.
Sun and Adam grow closer, which freaks Blake out because she fears Sun will be mistreated, but she doesn't know if she should control the situation or let Sun do what he wants. Sun doesn't show he's scared of Adam nor feels intimidated by him, which puts Blake in an awkward spot. Her best friend is potentially attracted to her ex. What a strange place to be in.
