Favorite Cats Vienna moment?

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I'm so sorry this took forever. There was travel and illness. Also I basically never get asks, so I never check the inbox if there isn't an alert right there so I forgot about this I'm awful. orz

ANYWAY: It is almost impossible for me to pick a favorite moment. The tiny stage meant that the cast spent the whole show in easy reach of each other, making them a VERY affectionate clowder.

In that last week Riccardo Sinisi in particular sought a lot of contact and comfort with his castmates, and that brings me to my favorite moment.

One of the things I love about this show is that Gus flat refuses to sing at first, which is why Jelly has to start telling his story at all. When Gus finally does start his verse, the clowder reacts with shock and excitement. It's as though Gus used to be the Big Storyteller (naturally, he was the Theater Cat) but he's perhaps gotten self-conscious about his frailty. The way they all lean in for him makes me 🥲

And then everybody settles in to listen to grandpa's story.

And this time, Admetus sees free real estate!

This is because Admetus is being played by Riccardo - his last time playing this character - and spent the whole week seeking out extra time and affectionate moments with his cast mates.

And once Admetus found that real estate, he just stayed there. (This gif is about 20 seconds long, and it ends before Admetus actually gets up)

So this is probably my favorite moment in Vienna. It's calm and sweet and I just really love Grandpa Story Hour.

Have some furniture!Admetus, from the UK tour in 1994 - John Partridge as Tugger, of course, and Darren Middleton as Admetus.

An excellent classic 'casually reclining on my bisexual bestie' moment, complete with omg I have been blessed with the butt look from Admetus.

However, more importantly...

let's talk about Johnny's hands???!??!

They're face down, flat, so he's pressed palm to palm with Darren? And he uses that to press down to give himself leverage to get back up???

And when Tantomile reaches over to touch his mane and he gives her a little 'hey girl!' fingergun then the little smirk back sideways to the camera as he stands asfhaskflkjlafsljfl @madamtrashbat come and get your man.
