hi just curious but is a character’s role & mark used as a code name of some sort?
The character's role & mark are not used as a code name IC. As stated in the Monsters page, the animals are linked to the marks mentioned in the prophecy. However, players are free to use the role name as part of their character's background.
do we get to pick the placement of the markings on the night monsters we apply too? and are they just symbols or vague imagery of the animals they're named after?
Yes, unless the skeleton specifies where the mark is. Essentially, yes to your second question as well. You can find a bit more detail in the Monsters page and in a previous answer here.
apologies if i missed this! i wanted to know if you had mentioned additional about the government system. for example, i'm working on my cinder fox app and wanted her to have an older sister working for the government. what would you think a suitable job would be for this? or is this not possible? thanks!
Hello! Well, Emperor Asahide is the government so there is no power that can come close to equal him in terms of government. However, there are existing branches of government that oversee the empire under his laws and command. We did not get too specific on the government system though because we wanted this to be shaped and detailed by the players as we begin. Feel free to get creative on this and dig into the sci fi or fantasy aspects of the rp.
Could you elaborate on the education system? Do schools exist? Or do people from wealthy backgrounds have private tutors?
The education system is not all that different to modern day. There are public schools, boarding schools, private schools, private tutors, trade schools, online schools, cram schools, etc. We have some flexibility in terms of the education system, as you can see, so long as it makes sense within the setting as described by Admin Emma here.

I'm not sure if I've missed it somewhere, but I was wondering when the powers manifested in the Night Monsters? Were they born with them, or was it triggered by puberty or an event etc?
Hello! The Monsters page speaks a bit more about the history of the Night Monsters as understood in the rp. You will see even the Empire does not have all the answers yet. However, I can say the Night Monsters were not born with their abilities. They were not triggered by puberty. Events in the individual’s life are not necessarily the cause of the mark either. They slowly began manifesting in people as the omens from the prophecy began to come true.
Also, while some skeletons speak about the mark/abilities appearing in youth, others mention them later in their life. While some have the mark appear during major events in their life, for others it appeared for no apparent reason. Yet another mystery!
I’m not sure if I missed this but what exactly are the four Omens? Are they superstitions or events that have been prophesied by someone to occur in this lifetime? Or something similar to conspiracy theories spread by the public? Thanks!
Thank you for your questions! You can find more detail on exactly what the four Omens were in the History page. Timeline-wise it’s broken down as such: Year 2068 First Omen happens; Year 2102 Second Omen happens; Year 2124 Third Omen happens; and Present Day Society is when the Fourth Omen occurs. What the public thought of the Omens you can find in the Monsters page. Basically it is as you said: the Omens are general events prophesied in ancient records. Since the source is old and information limited, it is entirely possible some people might have thought of them as superstitions, conspiracy theories, irrelevant history, etc. up until real live Night Monsters started showing up and recognized enough by the Empire as they hunted them down.
