I happen to know a good trick to keeping mischievous birds away, and that is to use another bird

Specifically a bird feared by birds.

Falcon cries can scare birds, don’t worry this one won’t attack anyone

They seem rather comfortable in their Aperture-Science-Weighted-Companion-Cube fort.
