Okay quick story time (and bit of a tangent to the original question, sorry) I’m not Thai, nor can I speak Thai. However, I am part Tai Dam (it’s a culture similar to nomads) and can understand parts of the language, which is used in places like Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. I was born in America, but my mother’s family is from Laos. But for the longest time I thought my culture was from Thailand due to the name. That’s part of the reason why Phichit became my fave honestly. I believe the lettering for Thai and Tai Dam are similar, but sadly I’m not fluent nor can I read it
