Is there a character muns would be okay with mentioning as a possible murderer?

Hello! So we are a leetle confused with the question, if you mean are we okay with characters who have committed murder, then the answer is yes! We have several muses already in play who have committed murder through the war and even a little before the war! 

If you are asking for a possible connection you would like to have in a character or application, then I think we could work one out! If you wanted to work it out before applying, it would maybe be better to come off anon so we can discuss the details and make sure there is a character that would work. However, this is very much a thing you can also work out with muns post-acceptance! If people get accepted with these outstanding connections we totally encourage people to make these kinds of plots/semi-retcons within the group so we can build deeper connections and add spice!  If neither of those answer your question please please come back and clarify and we will try our best to help!

are there other magical universities aside from Hogwarts from which credits can be transferred from?

Short answer, yes! It wouldn’t make sense to believe that Hogwarts would be the only wix university in the entire world! As far as canon HP lore goes they are not discussed that much, but it is definitely hinted at there are higher forms of instruction for wix jobs! And, in keeping with our ‘heck the f.a.r.t. that is jkr’ and love of canon divergence in our home, we would be okay with someone having this as a part of their backstory, however, we would really prefer for them to speak to us off anon first just so we can hammer out the details and make sure everything still fits in line with the plot of Hogwarts and we understand more of the context you are going for!  So, if you would like to incorporate a previous wix school, please come talk to us!

if everyone is starting their major from the beginning, then no one can really go through a certificate program yet, right? because some of those (like law) require a degree

Hey there !! This is a really good question! Currently, only four of our certificate programs require previous degrees or experience. Healing, Hit Wix, Law and Teaching are those with requirements. The other certificates like Broom Craftsmanship, Fashion Design, Magical Construction, Quidditch Coaching, and Wand Craftsmanship currently don’t have any requirements needed beforehand!  An important note here, there is about a two year gap between the end of the war and the start of Hogwarts as an university. There would have been time for studious students to get relevant degrees or experience, and also it is completely possible for older students than the trio to have gone to another muggle or wix university and gotten course credit that is transferrable to Hogwarts now. sicne this is the first year that hogwarts is doing a university setting, does this mean that everyone who's a student is essentially starting their university coursework from the beignning?

Hey there !! I love that we are getting questions interested in the university programming! The short answer is yes and no! This is the first year that Hogwarts has operated as a university, so everyone who is a student is starting their first year here. However, it is completely possible and probable that students could have attended other universities previously, and transferred some credit over or qualify for certain programs ( keep an eye out for the next question we will be answering for more information! ) This will still require every student coming into university to complete some first year requirements regardless if they had former instruction!  I hope this clears some stuff up for you!
