I have a feeling that Peeves would love messing with the McClain twins... or at least help them prank Zarkon.
The beginning of Thace’s headache.
Thace knew his sons were special. Keith and Lance, twins born under an eclipse in the wizarding world. Their magic feeling so different yet so similar to each other that Thace sometimes had a hard time telling who’s magic was who. Watching them grow up from babies, to toddlers, and to now felt as if Thace needed a time turner to go back and enjoy those precious fleeting moments more. Now however, Thace was wondering where his wishing of turning back time came from as he watched both his sons, one at a time get sorted into their houses. Keith, his brave, awkward, hotheaded, oldest boy sorted into Gryffindor, his house. While Lance, the baby, the smart, talented, witty baby got sorted into Ravenclaw his wife’s house. “Aren’t those your boys Thace?” Haggar asked as she leaned towards him. The witch's white hair pulled into an elegant low bun and decorated with dark purple crystal gems. Thace nodded, “Yes, yes they are” He answered her. Haggar merely nodded and proceeded to eye the rest of the students getting sorted. No doubt wondering whether or not one of them would be her next big student. Alfor merely chuckled on Thace’s left and stood as the last student, an Allen Zilar was sorted into the cheering table of Slytherin. “Welcome! To HOGWARTS!” Alfor shouted, applause ringing through the hall until the white haired man gestured for silence. “Now, I would like to welcome you all back for another year. Each and every one of you are talented in your own ways and I look forward to seeing where your coming years will take you or your final year will take you,” Here Alfor paused to look over the young faces before him, “But there are some rules I must insist on. No wandering out the halls past curfew, and absolutely NO ONE must go near the forbidden forest..” Alfor trailed off as He saw Thace give both his sons a glare at their excited chittering at their tables. Continuing Alfor shook his head, “But that is all, now. WE FEAST!” As Alfor sat down Thace sighed and sunk in his chair, “What’s wrong dear Thace? Surely you should be happy your sons are at Hogwarts now?” Alfor asked. Thace nodded as he placed some roast duck on his plate. “Yes, I am very happy ... however.... I am mostly concerned with-” Thace was cut off as a large thud echoed throughout the hall. The teachers heads snapping towards the tapestry that fell down near gryffindor. The cause being two sheepish looking boys very quickly trying to sneak back to their tables. “...-That...” Thace finished as he watched Lance scurry back to Ravenclaw, leaving Keith to hide behind some other Gryffindor first years.Thace groaned, “This is going to be a long... first year”
“Lance are you sure this is a good idea?” Keith intoned, violet hues glancing at the maliciously bubbling potion in front of them. The ravenclaw snorted before adding a vipers scale. “Uh yeah? This is me we’re talking about here.” Lance boasted, turning away to glance at the directions in the rather large, dusty old tomb in front of him. Keith opened this mouth to argue against his brothers logic. The gryffindor raising a fist to knock on brunette locks when his face went pale. The potion had switched from the beautiful lavender color to a deep swirling black crimson. The bubbling increasing in its ferocity. “Uhh Lance?” Keith squeaked, backing away slowly. Lance huffed, turning around with a raised eyebrow. “What Keith? I’m trying to read directions here” Keith only gulped, “A-are potions supposed to change colors like that?” He asked. “What do you mean are they supposed to-” Lance’s words were cut off as he stared at the potion in front of him. Blinking once, then twice, before he shrieked and started dragging the elder away from the cauldron. They made it no more then three steps out of the study room when an explosion ripped the door off it’s hinges. The sound deep and deafening as it echoed through the empty halls. “Professor Haggar’s gonna kill us...” Lance moaned, turning to face the- or what was, classroom. Keith glared at his twin, violet eyes narrowed in anger. “I am not taking any blame for this dingus”
