I Got Time - Mark Lee
¬ a/n : I totally stole this format from Admin L, lol. Also I had Bebe Rexha’s I Got Time on repeat while writing so I highly recommend listening to it. Also please please don’t get back with a cheater because once a cheater, always a cheater. It isn’t healthy and it will wear you down. You’re worth a lot and you deserve better than a cheating lowlife. - Admin K
Warning: mentions of cheating

You smile as your groupmates gather in a hug to celebrate the first win. Though it was only a group of five, the whirlwind of emotions was tough. Each girl had been through a lot and you knew this meant a lot to all of you. For different reasons.
Your reason was standing nearby, congratulating the members of NCT Dream on a successful performance of their new song, We Young.
Mark Lee.
You walked quickly through the halls of SM Entertainment, on the hunt for your groupmate, Jieun. She was supposed to help you on a dance move you couldn’t get down and with your group’s debut rapidly approaching, you needed all the help you could get.
You stop in front of a practice room with the door slightly cracked, hearing Jieun’s voice. And another voice, Mark’s.
Mark had been your boyfriend for a good eight months now, having asked you out with stutters and shy glances and blushing cheeks. You had accepted, of course, seeing as you had liked the boy for a year before.
“We can’t keep going on like this, Mark. (Y/N) means a lot to you and me, we’ll only hurt her.” Jieun’s voice cuts you out of your daydream and you listen carefully. You hear a sigh, which you recognize as Mark’s.
“I’ll figure something out. I always do. She hasn’t caught on to us yet. She’s dense so we’re okay.”
You stiffen as Jieun sighs, “Mark..I love you but we’re hurting her by going behind her back.”
You don’t stay to listen to the rest.
You had left SM Entertainment quickly after that, blocking Mark and Jieun’s number without telling them about anything. You didn’t think you’d be able to handle seeing him again. Or her.
Luck was on your side, seeing as you had been picked up by JYP and were debuted with another group called CRUSH. And your debut song had just won number one.
The girls became your support system, as you were the youngest at age 18. You were especially close to Kijung, the main rapper. But you were also close with the other three members, Haeun, Woohee, and Solhyun. The entire group felt like one big family.
“Excuse me (Y/N).” The voice sent chills down your spine and you turned around, meeting the bright eyes of Mark Lee. Luck really wasn’t on your side. He smiled at you and offered a hug which you rejected. He tried to hide his dejected expression but the aura turned sour.
“Nice to see you again. I need to go back to my group.” You bow before turning to leave but his voice stops you.
“Why did you leave?” He asks pathetically, needing to hear it from you.
“Why did you cheat?” You spin around on your heel, looking at him as he sighs and looks down, knowing full and well that was the reason.
“I don’t know..but I regret it. So much. Please, give me another chance. I’ll be better, I promise.” Mark looks at you with a hopeful expression but you take a step back and shake your head. “No..no you don’t get to come back into my life and screw it up again. We’re acquaintances and nothing more.” You say firmly.
Mark sighs as he looks down and nods before looking back at you, “Find someone who deserves you.” He murmurs as you scoff, “I’ve got time for love later, Mark. Not everyone needs a relationship to get by. You and I are different people. I don’t need anybody except my family and the girls. See you around, Mark Lee.”
You turn around and walk over to where your group was waiting, leaving Mark in complete and utter shock. You sit down in the dressing room as everyone congratulates your group. You glance in the mirror and almost jump, seeing Kijung’s sharp gaze looking at you. She was dressed in all black and had a denim jacket on with her short hair looking perfect. Her sharp eyes were lined with dark eyeliner and her lips were a dark burgundy. She looked intimidating but you just wanted to hug her.
She had changed out of her stage clothes but her stage makeup was the same as yours except your lips were a dark pink. You sigh, taking a makeup wipe and wiping it all off, revealing your regular complexion again.
“I heard you, you know.” She says in English so the others don’t understand. You don’t look up as Kijung rubs your back, “You did the right thing, you know. I know he was a part of you and it took you awhile to get over him.” Kijung had been the only one you ever told about Mark and she had taken you into an embrace and reassured you it wasn’t you.
“You’re right, you know.” You look up at Kijung as she smiles and rubs your shoulders, “You’ve got time. Live your life before you settle down.”
“Woohee, give me my phone!” Haeun shrieks as Solhyun is on the floor, crying from laughing as Haeun chases Woohee around the room.
“As loud as we are, you’ve got us.” Kijung smiles before you smile at her. She gives your shoulders one last squeeze before going to help Haeun get her phone back.
You look back in the mirror and examine your skin before you smile. Kijung was right, you had her, Woohee, Solhyun, Haeun, and your family. Who needs a boy?
As you get up to help Haeun and Kijung, you fail to notice your phone receive a new text. But Kijung does and she deletes it, blocking the number. She knew you didn’t need that especially since you wouldn’t take him back.
