SavingSSC is here to fight for the little show that could. We’ve seen wonderful petitions floating around the internet, as well as countless people wondering why a show with such a beautiful, talented cast wasn’t given its fair chance. This account exists as a starting point  for what could be a campaign to get our show back. In order for that to happen, we’ll need as much man power as possible. 

We figure, if a show without any promotion was able to generate this much interest, imagine if Still Star-Crossed received the support it deserved! We’re down to accept campaign and promotion ideas. It doesn’t hurt to try right?

Okay, now that Shonda Rhimes is leaving ABC and has inked a new deal with Netflix, can we beg her to bring Still Star-Crossed to Netflix?

We can try to get her attention and ask her to see what she says. Netflix has been a bit tricky with funding highly expensive shows, as they’re in the middle of a financial funk. But since it would possibly still be attached to Shondaland, maybe they’d be more lenient. What do you guys think? :) Should we campaign to ask SR to bring SSC over to Netflix with her?

Since starting this blog early Sunday morning (the product of insomnia no doubt), we’ve already gained the attention of 130 people! That’s fantastic! We’ve been cooking up some ideas for a campaign project or two (both of which may seem a little corny, but they’ll prove to be effective [hopefully]). Hello, Babes: Poll Time!

So there are two ideas floating around in the old noggin for some fun stuff for the cast to show our appreciation.

1) A “Thank You” video compilation for the cast?

ex.

“Thank you Lashsana for showing me what it means to be a powerful woman.”

“Thank you Wade for giving us a vulnerable male lead” 

Except, you know, better than what I wrote lol. 

OR

Would you rather have a photo collage of fans holding up signs with the phrase #savestillstarcrossed on it and send it to the cast/networks. 

Please note: 

Pros: 

-the thank you compilation would allow for more fans to voice more personal opinions (and reasons why the show should be looked at as more than just a failure)

-the collage will show how many people want the show to come back, and bring attention to the hashtag.

Cons:

-The video would take much longer to finish, and it may not be easy for everyone to record/send a video.

-the collage will be pretty simple and won’t really tell people why we want to save the show.

I've been trying to brainstorm ideas for how we can save SSC. One idea I have in my head, is doing some kind of letter campaign where we pick a day and get as many people to send emails to ABC, Shonda and other producers (if we can find emails), and try to flood their emails with positive messages about the show and why it's so important for them to fight to keep it. I have more ideas, but I'm running out of characters and don't want to clog your inbox. :D

Please, by all means, clog our inbox with ideas and thoughts. They’re all welcome, and we’d love to chat with you! I also think physical letters would be cool too, because then they can express more individuality from each viewer. Also, it shows initiative because it takes a LOT of effort to get that many people to send physical letters all at once. Of course, people can write emails, too. Especially for those fans that live in different countries. Hell, maybe we can do both!

I know we are a small fandom trying to save this show. I really want to do more so my question is do you have any upcoming campaigns or ideas for the fandom to get involved with? I think if we can keep it going we might be able to attract more ppl into this club. We should do drabble challenges and more Twitter campaigns. The more we keep going i think we can get more ppl interested.

One idea that’s been heavy on my mind (personally) is that photo collection I mentioned a little earlier when this account first started. If every single one of our followers contributed with a photo and a sign, we’d have a LOT of people. I may make a post about it soon!

@Rosvolio Playlist Question

Hello! I’m not sure who asked the question (when I went to answer it, the question straight up disappeared, maybe I answered privately?).

The question was about what I suggested for a Rosvolio Playlist?

 When I responded, I said something like: 

“Hello, love! Honestly, it’s up to you. It’s all about what vibe you want for your playlist, and what you’re trying to convey. What songs make you think of Rosvolio? For example, I like Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Let’s Get Lost” and “Run Away With Me” (both are fun pop songs). I also like “To Whom It May Concern” and “Poison & Wine” by The Civil Wars, which are both very romantic and slow. 

Ultimately, it’s all about what works in your eyes :)”
