love the rp! but i'm wondering if this is a revival of sorts as it seems like their is a lot of pre-established connections and i'm nervous there's not as much inclusion as i was hoping for
Hi dear! I totally get what you mean, it’s never fun to try and join a space where there is so much going on that you’ve missed out on. But I can guarantee you that, while it’s true that some of us had previously plotted connections and knew each other ooc (which makes it easier to connect ic too, imo), something we heavily discussed from the get go when founding this group was INCLUSION, as in making it so that everyone had room in Red Ridge to come, write and have fun. It may feel intimidating at first but I promise we’re buzzing with positive energy and enthusiasm; and everyone is eager to get to know each other, and build things with one another. Give it a try, I promise you — we always make it our top priority to make anyone feel welcome! ♥
Hi from me too! Rose here, I wanted to add my two cents. ♥ Unfortunately I couldn’t do so yesterday because two people very close to me faced health issues and I couldn’t be around. The bare truth is, all four of us came together after we escaped from a group experience that was tainted by some very toxic, passive-aggressive behavior. We were just members there, which is why we want our little group to feel just as comfortable to you guys! We’re not here to dictate anyone’s choices, exclude you or limit your creative freedom. We’re here to give you a place that hopefully sparks your creativity the same way ours was when we came up with it (though the other three admins had a much larger part to do with that, I’m just around to give you Crystal gifs). I believe all of us admins have four characters right now so that we can attain each character to different situations and expand, and I know for sure that one of mine came from that other group and was revamped while the three are completely fresh. But in that one character that was “revived”, you might see one connection that was pre-established, but that’s because it was a plot that had started somewhere else and had to be cut short due to our bad experience, so we’re continueing with it in an environment where we feel safe. That being said, that might be one connection or two for each one of us. Everything else was plotted here, in the dms, as soon as we opened for plotting a few days ago. Most of our plots that seem to have history are in fact a clean slate, a new effort to build past things of all sorts up in a town that’s quite small. So we promise you, there’s not a chance you’ll be excluded. All we ask is a little patience because being admins is a new thing for us and takes up most of our free time now that we’re still at the beginning. ♥ Don’t be afraid to reach out to us about anything you want!
