Imagine you’ve spent all week working on some presentation for your class. You’re the only one that did all the work, you spent every second making sure it’s perfect, you’re super proud of it. You can’t wait to show everyone this presentation that you have worked on so hard. And when it’s time to get up and show it to the class, someone else stands up, and pretends they did all the work, and lies to everyone that they made it all. While you watch, knowing it’s your hard work.
Taking someone’s artwork, reposting it, without crediting the person who worked hard on it, it’s stealing. And it can really hurt the artist. It can ruin their confidence, it can seriously hurt their mental health to see their hard work be taken from them.
The only way to apologise is by taking any artwork you’ve reposted down, or crediting the artist with full links to their profile (depending on what the artist is comfortable with.)
Like I’ve stated before, I don’t know if you’ve reposted my artwork. But if you have or if someone shows me evidence, I will block and report. I’m sure you’re a decent person and people can make mistakes. So if you have, please do the right thing.
(Can I please also iterate that while everyone is entitled to their own feelings and opinions, posting abuse towards others is never okay. I might be guilty of expressing rather angry views on art thieves, which I apologise for. However I do my best not to aim it at one person and I’ve always done my best to be polite in private messages. As much as they anger me, it’s always best to be the bigger person.)
Pack questions....
I will be answering pack questions and doing submission tomorrow, after I get home from running errands and maybe stopping to watch a movie... it's been too long since I went to the theater. As for tonight, I am going to watch Disney's Heracles, make fun of the inaccuracies and go to bed.
Y'know. I don't really care about my country's government...I rarely talk about them. But this is something I can't ignore.
The Netherlands is stuck in semi-lockdown limbo, as a full lockdown is too "expensive" and no lockdown is obviously a really bad idea.
So they make up contrived new rules that contradict each other ((i.e. A family of 7 isn't allowed to visit a family of 3, because travel ban, but the same family of 7 is allowed to call the family of 3 over, because that doesn't break travel ban))
So, my dear Premier Rutte, this one is for you.
If you actually wanted to help the Dutch population through Covid, you would've declared a second lockdown the moment numbers went up again some 3 weeks ago.
You would have given bonuses to ALL people in the medical field busting their asses off for you. The doctors. The microbiologists doing the tests. The lab assistants. And more that I'm forgetting about.
You would have stopped those thousands of tourists still coming in each day via plane, stopped that big risk on our population.
But instead, you declare half-assed "sanctions", that help no-one but those that already have time to spare. Some do not.
So don't pretend to care about our people.
