Welcome! Some of you may know us, some may not! We were around about two years ago and now we’re back! The ask box is now fresh and there are many things that have changed over time with us. I’m 26 now, Zim is Zim, and our kids are now two! I’d say there is a lot more positives now but there’s still a lot to discuss about our odd life, so please, ask away. - Dib

Hey I don't wanna blame Dib, because I know he's trying his best as a parent, but how does Kip keeps getting away with his shit when his father is right there? He is the person who literally stopped Zim for years. Didn't he notice anything odd with his son? Like any signs? I mean I can see Zim being in denial about it, or way too cocky about his parenting skills, but Dib is a pretty observant character. Is Kip just that good covering his tracks? Or is his dad biased because they're raising him differently in different environment than his partner was brought up?

It’s definitely a combination of those reasons. A lot of it also boils down to dib just not wanting to see his own child doing what he’s done. Dib now feels that the way zim was was all because of being brainwashed as a child soldier, so because Kip was being raised differently, he just didn’t feel any major concern about it.

You also have to remember, Kip is a combination of dib and zim, two very, very intelligent people. Kip is just extremely smart and covers his tracks well. Very quiet, plots, and does things in the shadows. As for the signs that were there, when his family realizes who he really is, they do feel crushed and stupid for not noticing.

(other 10% is sprinkles of fun lore from the movie or comics) Zim and Dib were both children (~12) when they met and were in school together. Zim then ended up speeding up his life span to age with dib, sacrificing his own possible longer life. That’s why in some of the old art, you’ll see they’re both aging!

on this note, it is sad to realize that if zim never altered his life span, he’d probably still be a pre-teen. a little baby. But no, he aged and chose to mature pretty quickly to be with dib. Though it sounds sad to even me, zim is pretty damn happy and confident with that decision.

it’s a rollercoaster and very stressful, but it is worth it, as cheesy as it sounds.

When did Kip went to Irk?

when kip was a teenager, he was determined enough to threaten zim with his own weapons that Kip broke into from zim’s invader days. Kip wanted to become a soldier just like zim and would do anything to get to irk by any means necessary.

Other anon asking if you two love each other, while I am still thinking about what's Kip's deal with his brother. I mean yes, I know he is only nice to a limited amount of people and from the looks of it Dewi is not one of them, I can see that, and I don't recall seeing a single positive interaction beetween them. It was mostly neutral (like being next to each other) or hostile from the taller's part... While with Zal we have seen her reading to her sibling. So how do the brothers feel about each other? Come to think of it, what about Zal's and Kip's relationship? Sorry this one is eating me ever since Kip started bullying his twin.

Kip is the sociopathic son of Dib and Zim. He only gets worse.
