Through the Shadows || AU || Introduction
Have you ever taken a moment to imagine what it’s like after you inevitably pass away? Do you ever wonder if your life, or lack there of, spirals into an endless abyss of nothingness? Or, is there truly something beyond the white light? Jihyun and I previously lingered on the thought of it very often.
The after life isn’t as promising as most make it out to be. It may not be an endless abyss of nothingness, however it is a land possessed by demons and angels who are heavily dictated by either the god of the sun or the god of the moon. The two side have been at war for longer than anybody can recall, but one simple action could run everything to hell. Quite literally.
Bants aside, after said, “ simple action, ” the Sun God absolutely snapped. Now, all you hear at night is the screams from the victims of the sun stroke, a corrupting bomb that could shatter your soul in a matter of seconds.
It’s not all darkness out here, though. The after life is practically swarming with magic and diversity. Could you imagine anywhere else in which a shy sorcerer’s apprentice, twin princes of the moon, a hopeless romantic, a military commander, an alcoholic servant, and a knowledge driven girl could sit in one room and have a somewhat civilized conversation. All of those demons and angels have a story to be told, and those stories are interlaced with each others. They all have the darkness and the light within them, and they all have each others backs, even if it’s through the shadows
