An Amusing FE7 Trivia

In the Japanese version of FE7, Chapter 15 (Noble Lady of Caelin) has a Mercenary carrying nothing except a droppable Horseslayer. Perhaps since it is usually the player’s first time playing the game, the devs thought it’d be nice to throw in an enemy who not only cannot fight back, but carries a useful weapon you can take upon defeating him? This only happens when playing Eliwood Normal Mode - I’ve played through all the other modes in Japanese FE7 and he’s armed with a sword there.

The localization changed this to give him an Iron Sword (the Horseslayer apparently stayed put). I have hope one day he’ll achieve meme status like Denning, Rallyman, 3-13 Archer, etc.

July’s Unit of the Month

Hey, sorry we ended up skipping June, but Unit of the Month is back! We’ve decided to change the format and focus on one continent each month to prevent repeat winners (namely Magvel; we can only put up so many characters before we run out), and this month will be dedicated to Elibe.
