Ok so I'm scrolling through your blog and i saw that post about the art competition... And I'm kind curious. How did it go? What piece did you enter? Who ruined it and why? Idk man it just made me wonder sorry to bother you xx
HUHUHUHU STORY TIME WITH YACHUMI
This last year was my first and only art class since elementary school, thus making me an “art I" student and putting me in art I category at UIL/competition even though I was in a pre-AP sculpture II/Art II class.
I made this book:
using only an x-acto knife and the book itself.
I put it away where I always keep it and one day I come to class and I find it tossed behind the area where we kept the project (though it turns out I was the only one doing so because everyone else didn’t do actual book carvings) and the tire swing was completely ripped off as well as several of the pages.
I never found the tire swing and competition was literally a day away.
So I made a new tire swing and glued it in:
I never found out who did it or why they did it;;
Also, I was two points away from making it further in the competition, but the judge deducted the points because it wasn’t painted (regardless of me telling her that the project did not involve paint and that I felt as an artist that it would have made it look mediocre).
WOOP. YUP. There’s my story about how the only art project I did that actually got somewhere got ruined and didn’t win anything.
