@themaker1610 and anyone else who is curious:
i add image descriptions to the stuff i reblog to make it accessible. there are lots of reasons why image descriptions are helpful: some people use screenreaders to navigate the internet because they can’t see, and a picture can’t be read; and some people have difficulties with facial recognition or reading expressions; and some have colorblindness; and some have terrible internet that won’t load the gifs (aka me every other week); and sometimes it’s difficult to recognize characters because they’re in AUs or what have you.
edit: also this is not an all-inclusive list of why someone might use an image description, just what i could think of off the top of my head
