How to create the Central Store for Group Policy templates in Active Directory

Objective You need to create and manage the Central Store for Group Policy ADMX and ADML templates in an Active Directory environment, instead of using the local store on each Domain Controller. Procedure Step 1 First download the latest Windows OS Group Policy ADMX templates provided by Microsoft. All download links as well as full reference to all ADMX templates is provided by Microsoft at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3087759/how-to-create-and-manage-the-central-store-for-group-policy-administra Also download any application specific ADMX templates for Windows, such as for instance the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox templates. Step 2 Copy the above downloaded ADMX and ADML files into a new folder created in the Active Directory SYSVOL partition. The folder should be called contoso.comSYSVOLcontoso.compoliciesPolicyDefinitions, where contoso.com should be replaced by your domain internal FQDN. If the above folder already exists, then create a new folder where the name of the ADMX version is specified, for instance: contoso.comSYSVOLcontoso.compoliciesPolicyDefinitions-2004. Step 3 Copy all files from the PolicyDefinitions folder on a source computer to the new PolicyDefinitions folder on the domain controller. Et bien voilà, nous y sommes! Il est temps de passer au déploiement de l’agent Fusion Inventory.

Le parc informatique de mon affectation est constitué de : Linux, Mac OS et Windows. Je vais m’occuper des Windows en priorité. Parce que c’est ce que je sais faire. Ensuite je passerai, après, aux Linux puis les Mac mais dans quelques années à cause de leur profil utilisateurs (PEBCAK)…

Sur la page de la documentation de l’agent de Fusion Inventory, vous trouverez les ressources pour le déployer dans votre parc.

On peut récupérer l’installeur de l’agent Fusion Inventory pour Windows, ici.

Il y a deux manières d’avoir le manuel d’utilisation de l’installeur de l’Agent :

D:\olivier\Owncloud\Fusion_Inventory> fusioninventory-agent_windows-_.exe /help

D:\olivier\Owncloud\Fusion_Inventory> fusioninventory-agent_windows-_.exe /help /S

J’ai par exemple trouvé cette commande pour installer l’agent :

D:\olivier\Owncloud\Fusion_Inventory>fusioninventory-agent_windows-x64_2.5.1.exe /S /acceptlicense /backend-collect-timeout=180 /execmode=Service /server="http://192.168.100.35/glpi, http://192.168.100.35/glpi/plugins/fusioninventory/, http://fusion.deployadmin.com/glpi, http://fusion.deployadmin.com/glpi/plugins/fusioninventory/" /httpd-ip="http://192.168.100.35/glpi" /installtasks=Full /installdir=C:\Program Files\FusionInventory-Agent /runnow

On récupère le fichier .vbs sur le github de Fusion Inventory “fusioninventory-agent-deployment.vbs”. Il permet de procéder à l’installation de l’agent.

On va dans l’éditeur des stratégies de groupe. On crée ou on modifie une GPO. Ici, dans mon cas, elle s’appelle “Default_base”. On va dans :

Configuration ordinateur, Stratégies, Paramètres Windows, Scripts (démarrage/arrêt)

On récupère les fichiers FusionInventory.admx et FusionInventory.adml.

Et on les met dans le fichier “PolicyDefinitions”

On reprend la gpo “Default_base” dans l’éditeur des stratégies de groupe. On va dans : Configuration ordinateur, Stratégies, Modèles d'administration, Système, Agent Fusion Inventory

On active le paramètre et on fait la configuration selon son infrastructure.

Chez moi, ça donne ça. Minimaliste, mais simple.

ADML - Horror iron butt reaper Вдохновившись "Призрачным Пухом", смастерил для кореша @adml81 широко известного в узком кругу ограниченных людей аки Адмирал ADML видеолого.
