46. Sleepy hug

   She didn’t know when did the two of them became so affectionate. One would think that between their terrible track record with emotions, the blip, and their stressful lives, Raven and Laura would give up trying to keep others in their lives.       But it wasn’t stopping her. There was something, always something, about Laura that melted her defenses before Raven even had time to build them up. After a while, she stopped building them at all.

   Before either of them can get up and start the day, she reaches out blindly with one hand. After some shifting on her part, she manages to grab her by the waist, pressing her face against the cool skin of her shoulder.
