A dream come true
It was always a childhood dream to become a doctor, but after much research and experiences I choose to study medicine because it is a vocation that suits my personality. Caring for patients as people really is at the heart of medicine, and it will be a great privilege to be able to help people when they are at their most vulnerable. I have always had a genuine interest in health and the causes of ill health, so I know I will find medicine intellectually rewarding. I am a people person, so I know that I would enjoy working as part of a team with a host of other professionals to treat patients. Medicine is a relatively secure career, offering a multitude of different areas of work which includes opportunities for working in the developing world.I am committed to study medicine and excited to eventually practice as a doctor in order to seek into de journey I have always dreamed about.
To become a medical school student will be a privilege because medicine is the ultimate career. This profession provides constant mental stimulation, continuous opportunities to learn and progress. In addition, a career in medicine empowers one to help people, to be respected by others and to feel job satisfaction in a way that is impossible to feel in many other careers. The opportunities are endless, and the choices are vast. However, along with this journey comes huge responsibilities such as individual patients, the population as a whole and the team in which I will be working on when I graduate.
