Anyway, dumping some lore now. 

Divine Zones - ironically, these areas tend to be free of divine entities. Places like this formed after the a hole ripped between Heaven and Earth 1 at the end of the Edonic Civil War (which is a whole other can of worms tbh). These are safe zones for demonic (and other misc. non human but non divine) entities.. for the most part. 

Adonis owns three Divine Zones along the east coast, the one that I will mostly be using is Millbrook since it’s the most developed. It’s not exactly on the coast, a bit of a drive away from the beach, but it’s cloe enough. Because of this, Adonis tends to have a certain amount of diplomatic immunity in the US. 

Each of Adonis’ Divine Zones contain one curator, who is basically an enforcer of the law, tax collector and, should they need one, an assassin. They keep order, keep most humans and divine entities out, etc. They’re small areas, so there rarely needs to be more than one, so long as that one is a rather powerful demon. 

Izaiah is Millbrook’s Curator.

Pandora? Functional alcoholic. Gotta have wine with every meal and in between. 

Ebony has a tail with a lil heart at the end. She can stab people with it. And, yes, it does have poison in it. 

Adonis uses any pronouns, because of all the souls bouncing around in them. They will also forget things easily and go through slight personality changes as different souls take up more space / power in the legion.

the body Adonis inhabits was beheaded, when multiple other souls began to inhabit it, the wound mutated into a full functional second mouth.

Yes he does sometimes talk and eat through there.

SO one thing I’ve been meaning to dive into a bit regarding Adonis and Ebony’s relationship contrasted with Izaiah and his wife, Wren’s.Specifically delving into their polyamory!

Adonis and Ebony love each other. They trust each other and know that they each have different needs that can’t be fully fulfilled by the other. Adonis has multiple souls in his body, and Ebony has come to accept and embrace that they each have very different personalities that each contribute to Adonis. And each one also has the ability to fall in love with someone who is not her. She can and will welcome them with open arms!

On the flip side, Ebony is a succubus. And Adonis has no genitalia, because he’s a corpse and it all rotted off. He knows and acknowledges she has a very high libido and he can’t really do much regarding that (nor does he have any desire to).

They trust each other enough to have this open kind of relationship. 

Now, we contrast this Izaiah and Wren who... are using polyamory as a last ditch method to fix their failing marriage. They do not trust each other, they’re both very jealous people but they have fallen out of love with each other and only stay married because of their daughter. Wren was the one to broach the topic, because it was ‘the only way to keep their marriage bearable’.

I will say - Adonis is a weird case when it comes to contracts. he is a Legion demon, with some rather powerful entities inside of his body. One of which is a deity, who is technically ‘contracted’ with every other soul in the Legion. It’s also the reason he hasn’t fallen apart yet, as Legion entities never stay alive longer than a few months under normal circumstances.

back again young one? still not comfortable with your new title? yes, I can see you are one that prefers the simpler things in life but you do deserve the rank they have given you. oh little sparrow, have you just now realized you are an owl? soaring the skies with gleaming, outstretched talons. you lived your life blinded to your own abilities, but now the truth is out. you did not ask to be a hero, which pains my heart to the core. but alas, the people have given you something so true and bittersweet you cannot bear to refuse them. for they have given you their trust. they praise you, songs will be sung of you, ballads written, feasts in your honor. but "why me?" you quietly whisper to the stars. if you could speak their language you'd hear their simple reply, "because." you, out of the finest candidates were chosen to be a sacrificial lion in golden chains. your loved ones chanted your worth as it echoed from the steeples. but what was your say on the matter? I guess you had little to none, and unfortunately, neither do I. but destiny is not a burden, it is a gift, you feel weighted by the entire world, your shoulders ache from the hopes, fears, and dreams of the people who have chosen to follow you. but their adoration isn't blind my dear. you are strong, you are worthy of the armor, of the crown. when you look back you will realize that you, my young god, were truly the savior many called you. do not run from your purpose, seek it. and I do not mean the heroic of sorts, no, search for what makes you alive young hero, for here's a secret, you are just as much a hero to others as you are to yourself. if wouldn't make you a villian, to tell them no...
