Work to do...
Our home study is in the revision phase, and our application has officially been submitted to Christian Adoption Consultants. We’re working with Susan, whose blog spoke to me from the very first time I read it when we first started on this journey in June.
We now have a ton of reading to do, both the information shared with us by Susan, and every adoption book I can get my hands on. (Let’s be real - I’ll be reading and then summarizing for Nate.)
The list of “to-reads” is long, I still owe our home study edits to our social worker (Pam - shes great), and I need to get a chunk of our profile finished this weekend.
That’s the part I’m so excited about. Our photos are OUT OF THIS WORLD. (thanks to Miss Amanda Nichols)
I’m desperate to finish draft one so that I can review it with the wonderful designers and writers and reviewers in my life who don’t know they’ve been signed up to help with that yet. (You know who you are...)
Through all of the stuff - the work, the waiting - that I want to have done rightnow, I’m finding peace and hope and joy and growth in the process.
Mom found a daisy blooming through the fallen leaves this week. She sent me this photo, letting me know she was thinking of me.
We feel you daisy. Reach for that sun...
