Birthday Summoner here! A bit of a different question, but one I want to ask nonetheless. How did you get into posting content about FEH and was it an easy addition to your page since you were already FE-based? I'm asking since I... wanna join in the FEH community myself (I've actually had a Tumblr account that I've never posted on since I'm nervous), but I'm... more than a bit shy and too nervous to try. Do you have any advice for a hopelessly nervous fool? Hope you're having a good day! ^^'

Oh boy, how I got into posting content about FE? That’s a long story, and not an interesting one on top of that…

Long story short, I had a tumblr account for years but never posted anything or interacted with anyone because, like you, I was (and still am) a nervous and shy wreck also gifted with social anxiety. I literally only used tumblr to like posts (and even then I was reluctant because liking posts means you appear in people’s activity and I was anxious about being noticed at all, for some reason). And then something really bad happened in my life (my best friend of 7+ years dumped me) and I got super depressed. Like, really depressed. I could barely function anymore. And I used to make funny FE x text posts things for her because she loved it, and  I decided to make a blog to post them, because I wanted to make room on my computer but didn’t want to lose them forever. And, well, the blog got followers and soon I had asks in my inbox requesting stuff… I absolutely had not planned this. But I welcomed the distraction. Time passed and I don’t know why, followers started to want to chat or ask my opinion about characters… and here I am now, still as uninteresting as before but people stayed. I don’t understand but I’m happy about it!

So, if I have any advice for you, it’s to just do your thing. Do something that you like, distracts yourself from something you don’t wanna think about or that you find funny; people seeing it is only secondary. I understand you being nervous (I used to be scared of getting asks, thinking people were gonna tell me to shut up or make fun of me), but it’s a step to make. Tumblr is much more fun (and safe) when you feel like you belong in (the safe and friendly side of) a community, but don’t rely on other people to enjoy yourself. It’s your blog, do whatever you wish of it. If people like it, it’s a bonus; if they don’t care, you didn’t make it for them anyway. Make a headcanons blog because your head is full of them and you’re scared of forgetting them if you don’t keep track of them; make a color swap blog because you love recoloring FE’s portraits… A blog should always be for yourself, first and foremost. Or else it won’t last.

Besides… you’re already a part of the Fire Emblem community, since I am part of it myself and I remember you ^^ If you want to become an active member, then try. You never know how many wonderful people you could meet or befriend. I sure didn’t know.
