I love the fact that less than five minutes after Even has told everyone that Isak has to put up with so much from him, Even’s the one to calm Isak down and be there for him.

Des illusions

Aujourd’hui, à l’agence, on évoqué calmement la notion de respect avec l’un de mes graphistes.

Quand je dis calmement, je lui ai fait passer un document un peu nerveusement. D’aucuns diront jeter une feuille à la tronche. Attends, on se calme. Pour rappel, on parle d’une feuille. D’une (1) p*tain de feuille. J’ai blessé personne, le mec en question n’a pas fini aux urgences, hein.

La vérité étant sans doute un peu entre les deux. Cessez un peu avec votre vision manichéenne des choses... Cela dit, libre à vous de prendre parti !

Pour mettre un peu de piment dans sa vie et parce qu’il ose tout (c’est même à ça qu’on le reconnaît), il balance en retour à sa supérieure (ouais, c’est de moi qu’on parle là, même si le titre est un peu galvaudé) un truc à propos du respect. Notez bien que j’ai pas retenu la formule exacte mais, en gros, le type insinuait qu’on (je) lui avait manqué de respect.

Bien sûr, sur le moment, j’avais pas la répartie adéquate. Donc, par souci du politiquement correct, j’ai bien fermé ma gueule. (Sinon on partait sur un gloubi-boulga haineux qui m’aurait valu une nouvelle salve de reproches de type “Mais tu es hystériiique, là !”).

À froid, on est plus créatif. Donc retour à notre gars sûr, la victime de l’histoire évidemment.

Alors en fait, j’ai trouvé son attitude quelque peu déplacée, parce qu’à ma connaissance :

• Arriver en retard chaque matin... • Rendre systématiquement chacun de ses projets après la deadline... • Répondre à son supérieur... • Faire des blagues douteuses sur sa vie sexuelle en plein milieu de l’open space...

... ne sont pas des preuves de respect (enfin j’crois, hein). C’était le moment de passer en revue les options qui s’offraient à moi : acheter une poupée vaudou, placer de petites punaises sur son fauteuil ou encore parcourir cette savoureuse page WikiHow.

Jusqu’à ce qu’on me dise que le management est un jeu (merci, Mère !). J’ajouterais aussi que ce n’est que du marketing... On ne sauve pas de vies au quotidien et nous n’avons dans le fond que de braves bullshits jobs comme tout un•e chacun•e sortant d’un bac +5, sans avoir fait médecine ou droit.

Cette expérience a signé le début d’un nouveau chapitre professionnel. Je pensais devoir gérer un adulte, que nenni. J’avais en fait en face de moi un ado ! J’avais une vague idée de ce qu’était un ado rebelle, en ayant moi-même été une il n’y a pas si longtemps.

En pratique, ça donnait quelque chose comme ça : Flatter son égo, lui balancer une guitare, quelques joints, le faire beaucoup dormir et surtout, surtout ne pas le faire trop travailler et tout devrait bien se passer. Easy-peasy ! Dès demain je reprends le contrôle de la situation.

Allez, gros bisous à tous les graphistes du monde. <3 (Ah, PARDON, oui on me souffle dans l’oreillette qu’on dit pas graphiste, mais oh grand chef Déa, un mot acronyme présentant une curieuse similitude avec la racine indo-européenne de Dieu : dei- « briller ».) Et ça, à mon humble avis, c’est tout sauf une coïncidence. ;)

Even and Isak imagines:

Even and Isak cooking together. Isak can’t cook at all but Even knows a thing or two so he takes charge and makes Isak cut vegetables and stuff like that. Isak likes to pretend he’s this fancy French cook so he narrates everything in a bad French accent, trying to sound like he knows what he’s doing. Even can’t stop laughing which was the entire point all along.

Watching movies together. Even is either very focused if it’s a movie he’s never seen before, or he can’t help commenting on the scenography and lighting and what not if he knows the movie well. They always cuddle, even in the theatre. If it’s a sad movie, Isak often tears up a bit which Even finds very adorable and they end up kissing and cuddling even more.

Dancing. Even likes to dance around when he’s in a good mood, trying to get a more hesitant Isak to join him. If they’re drunk, it can end up getting very intimate/dirty.

Studying together. They are actually better at this than most expect. Mainly because they make sure to take a lot of breaks. Even can be very bad at staying focused at times and Isak quickly learns to adapt. On some days they’ll study for 15 minutes and then do something else for half an hour. On other days, Isak has to remind Even to eat. When Isak is the one who can’t concentrate, Even will promise him sexual favours to make him concentrate. It works surprisingly well despite the fact that Even would do it even if Isak hadn’t studied.

Even apologising. They don’t often fight but if they do and Even is the one who did something stupid, he’ll go all out. Even knows how easily Isak will apologise after a couple of days spent think about it so Even tries to beat him to it. One time he got the dance group girls to help him do a flash mob dance to Gabrielle’s ‘5 fine Frøkner’ in the school yard ending with him handing Isak a bouquet of flowers. Isak was equally embarrassed and charmed. (Magnus was all fangirl excited and plans to do something similar for Vilde. Most likely involving cats.)

Comforting each other. This always involves a lot of cuddling together. If it’s Even who’s sad, they often often just lie together and Isak will give Even a lot of soft kisses and touch him very gently. Talking comes after. If it’s Isak who’s upset, he’ll lie with his head on Even’s chest and talk about it in sentences which don’t always make sense. Even just listens and holds him close.

Look, Isak. I know that you are busy being all happy and soft in your little love bubble with Even and worrying about Even but you gotta help a girl out. You can’t just leave Vilde hanging like that, not answering. You were in that position not that long ago, constantly wondering whether or not Even would be there or not. And you know, was it not for Vilde and her kosegruppe and her amazing (I assume) love exercise, Even would never had had the oppurtunity to invent flirting with paper towels and then sharing a joint with you. So, step up your game and make Vilnus happen. You do kinda owe Magnus one for missing his birthday.
