Music Tagging Game
You can tell a lot about a person from the type of music they listen to. Hit shuffle on whatever thing you listen to your music to and then write down the first 10 songs that come up. Tag 10 people that you think are worthy for this challenge. And don’t forget to tag me like i did so i know that you accept this challenge.
I was tagged ages ago by adrateia :)

10 Books
Thanks for tagging me, theeverlastingreader!
(P.S. Not sure why I didn’t see this until now, a month later…)
I think this is great for tumblr :) List in your status 10 books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take more than a few minutes and do not think too hard. They do not have to be the ‘right’ books or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. Tag 5 friends including me so I can see your list.
1. A Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway 2. His Dark Materials, Philip Pullman 3. Series of Unfortunate Events, Lemony Snicket 4. Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy 5. The Harry Potter Series, J.K. Rowling 6. The Blind Assassin, Margaret Atwood 7. Jacob Have I Loved, Katherine Paterson 8. The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald 9. A Wrinkle in Time, Madeleine L’Engle 10. Eragon, Christopher Paolini

6: Book you cried the hardest reading?
A tie between Thirteen Reasons Why and All Quiet on the Western Front.
7: Book you laughed the hardest reading?
Hyperbole and a Half. HYPERBOLE AND A HALF. READ IT.
23: Hardbacks or paperbacks?
I like hardbacks for books that I'm going to read again or ones that I just really loved. Buuut paperbacks are cheaper. Honestly, I'm not too picky between the two.
Female vs. Male Authors: A Game
I saw this post by adrateia about the much smaller number of female authors vs. male authors they had on their TBR, and that's pretty disheartening. But I think an interesting measurement of the gender disparity in the publishing world would be to see which gender is more famous (for me, at least). This is where the game comes in.
I tried to see the number of male and female authors I could list under two minutes (one minute for each gender).
Female Authors (12)
jk rowling
maggie stiefvater
cassandra clare
holly black
sarah dessen
stephanie perkins
stephenie meyer
kristin cashore
leigh bardugo
marissa meyer
debra driza
laini taylor
Male Authors (9)
rick riordan
christopher paolini
jrr tolkien
f scott fitzgerald
jd salinger
james patterson
charles dickens
william golding
Whew! (Also, totally embarrassing side note: I forgot James Patterson's name, so I just sat there for a few seconds desperately trying to remember his name.)
Whoever wants to can do this, I just ask that you tag me in it so I can see the results! I'm really curious about who others can come up with.
Rules (sort of):
Any author counts, pen name or real name (but not both), dead or alive, etc. so long as they have existed in the real world (so not people Newt Scamander, the author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them from the Harry Potter series)
Names must be spelled correctly
Feel free to ignore all English grammar conventions (I did)
Have fun! (You don't really have to have fun; I can't really classify my experience as "fun", but it was...interesting)
Authors I thought of while making this post:
Philip Pullman
Melissa Marr
George R. R. Martin
Neil Gaiman (I'm so embarrassed about this; he's only my favorite author of all time)
John Green
Ransom Riggs
Roberto Bolano (tilde over the n)
Alexandra Bracken
