I'm gonna need everyone who cares about people with OCD to look up "groinal response" right now before people misinformed from fanfic shit start spreading the idea that only active sexual trauma to the body (with the body trying to reduce bodily damage) is THE "groinal response", as if it's not solely tied to OCD's incredibly distressing thoughts affecting the body solely because it's what would distress the person the most I don't want to see any "but what if"s on this: look up the term and educate yourself and prevent misinformation if you're a true ally - found a better simplified explanation without sounding too harsh: arousal non-concordance CAN equal groinal response, because THAT is an umbrella term, but groinal response specifically is about OCD and NOT an umbrella term
