I THINK THAT LINE IS ACTUALLY IN ALL OF HIS SUMMON CHANTS, he only changes the “clustering _ will become a new shining _”

YEAH I KNEW--ohh i think it’s bc i put in the entire chant at first so i forgot to change my wording after just keeping that line

YEAH I'M ABOUT TO SET PONIFY TO SWAP ALL OF THEM TO MY PREFERENCE ON AO3... i think seeing the letters YUHJ makes it easier to not mix them when they're all in a fic but i'm petty and i find the yuus neater + more aesthetically pleasing in all cases

I really should do that! I do sometimes mix up Yuuto and Yuugo when I’m reading too fast, because they’re only one letter apart, but that’s not a problem with Yuuya and Yuuri so I can live with that xD And if it’s fanfic and the writer’s doing a half-decent job, it should be incredibly easy to keep them apart by characterization alone :p

it trips me up even being a native english speaker… i just end up pronouncing it like you would japanese, and i end up backing out too

Yeah :/ I’ve run search/replace once for a fic that came very highly recommended, but generally I’m just too lazy. And on a non-linguistic note, it’s just way easier to refer to the ‘Yuu boys’ when talking about them, without having to bother with different romanizations (though I’ll admit that Hyugo doesn’t trip me up nearly as badly).
