as someone new-ish to the fandom who now understands like 90% of the lore including some stuff you really have to dig to learn. I still wonder sometimes if there’s some shit that has happened or existed that is so taboo that no one talks about. I mean besides the video. like is there anything else i’m missing that literally nobody speaks about? it feels like there should be,, every fandom seems to have that forbidden info thing that you can only ever really learn about by being friends with someone. even if you can’t give any examples out loud, am I wrong? or does no kinda thing exist

i guess the closest thing to that would be all the shit a certain subsection of fans did to adrian when he was a kid? people who were around definitely remember him being harassed online when he was literally 13/14 years old and him being sent horrific tumblr asks and tweets so bad that he literally left the internet entirely for a decade (on top of fans posting his personal photos because all they cared about was that there was a much younger "mini dan" who looked exactly like teenage dan) also adrian getting into relationships with not one but two different girls who lied about being fans of his brother and just how shit that is on so many levels (as in the girlfriend who was living in his and dan's childhood home over covid with their mum used to wait outside the BBC for dan and tweeted thing like "i'm going to have dan howells babies")

talking about him was SO taboo for so long there was a time where newer fans literally didn't know dan had a brother until he started casually mentioning him again in 2018 (like dan went from "fuck off and don't be a stalker" when someone asked about adrian to straight up not acknowledging he existed for a few years). obviously now it's different now because adrian's not only an adult but an influencer himself who made youtube videos/promotes his bullshit

also i know i literally just answered this but i don't feel super comfortable or in any way motivated to dive into all the details because it's an exhausting topic to dig back up years later however alllll the stuff that happened is still pretty easy to find online

As some of you know Adrian (Dan's little brother) is back on social media. But this doesn't mean that you have the right to go and hound him! He is not his brother, but a human being who has been through enough pain as this post below explains. It has greatly upset me that Adi had gone through this, the very thought of it has made me so damn angry! I'm so glad that he was able to turn his life around and is now extremely fit and healthy, and in a loving relationship with a wonderful young lady and his rescue cat!

I partly blame the Phandom for the drink and drugs. He was just a kid when he was being constantly questioned about his brother and whether or not if Dan was in a relationship with Phil. So to those of you who who were a part of the group of ppl involved in pushing Adi off social media, well done! Look what you did to an innocent child!
