I'm curious,how long into the relationship do you think the girls would wait b4 proposing to their s/o? Zoey is definitely the 1st to propose to her partner, probably 3-4 years into the relationship. She is excited to be able to say things like "I'm a married woman," or "Nice to meet you. I'm Zoey, y/n's wife" and show off her wedding ring.

Mira would probably be the last to propose,not bc she doesn't wanna marry her reader, she just wants things to settle down so she can enjoy getting married and married life without having to go on long ass tours and being away from months on end. For her it would probably be like 6-8 years in.

Rumi is hard to pin. I can see her wanting to wait like Mira cause again she wants to enjoy married life but I can also see her being eager like Zoey. Especially if she grew up with Celine and Mama!Bear as her role model for marriage. Maybe she'll land in the middle, proposing after 4-6 years.

But you just know that whenever the girls do propose (or get propose too) Celine and Mama!Bear are breaking out the binders full of wedding ideas they've made for the girls and their partners.

Mira is defs the one who'd wait the longest. She loves you and knows she wants to spend the rest of her life with you, but she's not in any rush and is more than happy just being with you, no need to have a ring to prove how much she loves you. She waits until Huntr/x has run their course and retires before proposing, because once they're no longer active and dealing with interviews/tours, she can focus all her time and attention on you.

Rumi defs asked Celine and Mama!Bear for how long she should wait before proposing. She's not really in a rush either, doesn't need to marry you ASAP. But she defs has it all planned out well in advance for "I'll broach the marriage subject to Reader around X-Years into relationship. Talk about figuring out if that's what you want/are ready for, then by Y date I plan to propose"

Zoey would have dropped to a knee and proposed to you on Year 1 if Rumi, Mira, and Bobby didn't talk her out of it. She knows your her soulmate so why would she wait?? But she does, and still proposes as early as she can because she's just so eager to be able to call herself your wife.

Girl sees a pretty face and she malfunctions. Trying to hit on you? Stumbling over her pickup lines, tries to invite you on a date, panics when you ask about said invite, accidentally turns it into a group hangout. Trying to play it cool, play it off, the fact that she’s always lingering outside your work place to give you a ride home bc she so badly wants to spend more time with you but doesn’t want to seem too desperate.

Venting to Mira and Rumi each night because she keeps fumbling trying to ask you out.

Basically how it went, right?

Mandy absolutely loves mornings with you.

She 100% wakes up a full hour before you do. Spends a good bit of that time just watching you, holding you or behind held by you, taking in how she gets to wake up to something so beautiful (you) every day.

You tend to wake up while she’s finishing her mourning routine of shower / skin care.

Loves making breakfast with you if you two have the time, otherwise coffee and toast is just fine, talking about plans for the days, both work and personal.

Doesn’t matter if you work at SDN or elsewhere, Blonde Blazer is flying you there every time. You think she’s going to give up the previous few extra minutes of holding you in her arms just so you can drive yourself to work / take the bus to work??? No way. She is taking any excuse to hold you just a little longer before she has to shift to Corporate Mode.

Spends the rest of the morning impatiently looking forward to getting to visit with you over lunch.

Do you think the girls are a bit insecure if the reader has been in a relationship b4 being with them? Like I can't imagine any of them have been in a serious relationship b4 being with reader. Maybe in a fling or a summer romance that didn't lead to anything but nothing that serious.

I can definitely see them being insecure about it and trying to overcompensate by be the most perfect girlfriend ever til reader sits then down to tell them to chill out.

It's different degrees of insecurity, but absolutely.

Like Rumi, I HC as having 0 relationship experience before you, so that helps motivate her when it comes to overcompensating, because she's got to prove that even if she's never done any of this before, she's still way better than any relationship you've had in the past, so please don’t leave her. Which ends up being a lot of prioritizing you, your wants and needs at the detriment of herself.

Mira tho,it’s zero surprise to her that you’ve had past relationships (You're you. There is no universe she can imagine where you wouldn't have people tripping over themselves to date you) she doesn’t necessarily like the way she gets jealous over them. Most of her overcompensation is more because she needs to prove to herself that she's the best girlfriend you've had, it’s so she can chase away her own doubts and fears.

Zoey is a bit of relationship whiplash, because while she is overcompensating, showering you in so much attention and affection, she's also constantly pulling back because she doesn't want to overwhelm you and chase you away. But when you happen to come across one of your exes while on a date with her? A switch is flipped for Zoey bc suddenly she’s making it very clear to everyone around them that she’s your girlfriend, so that your ex doesn’t get any funny ideas.

Once you sit down and talk to them tho? That's when they settle in the Lover Girl mode we've grown accustomed to.

Hear me out, yall. The Sun Proposed dynamic, but with Rumi/Reader instead.

Readers a younger idol who’s had a massive crush on Rumi since trainee days. Doesn’t shy from it, doesn’t hide it. Every time you and Rumi cross paths you reaffirm you like her and ask her out. And every time Rumi says no

The difference this time around is that Rumi does like you back right from the start, she finds you to be amazing and brave and very attractive. She wants to say yes, but she can’t. It’s one thing that she’s secretly a hunter. But what really stops her from reciprocating is her patterns.

If you knew of her patterns, what she really is, you’d hate her, she’s sure, you’d think her a monster and her heart can’t take that. But she would hate herself if she dated you and hid them, it’d be no different from lying about who she is and leading you on in her opinion and you deserve better than that. She can’t see a happy ending.

And so Rumi smothers her own feelings and keeps rejecting you, over and over. You don’t give up, she doesn’t give in. There’s no 20 years of pining, Rumi’s holding onto the thin hope that you will still want her when the Honmoon is sealed, that her patterns will go away when it does, but in the meantime it’s several years of heartbreak and rejection.
