it was beyond boring just lying in a bed, waiting for tests upon tests to be run on you like you were some sort of lab rat. he knew it was needed. they had no idea of the extent of his hearing loss despite clint writing down on a whiteboard that he couldn’t heard anything. if someone was speaking close to him? he could probably make it out, but considering he had a super sore headache? he wasn’t taking the chance of straining even more. he hadn’t found any of it emotional until he spotted adriana moving into the room, his eyes watering almost immediately as he glanced down at his hands. at this point? clint just hoped that she, kimberly and francis weren’t upset over any of it. it could have been far worse in his head. “hey sweetheart..” his voice was low and cracking -- mostly because he had no idea of the volume he was speaking at. he didn’t hesitate to open his arms for her though, wanting that little bit of comfort from his eldest.
