What if Adrien became much more free following Gabriel's death? Without controlling father, the perfect boy mask is shed, leaving an open space for the boy behind it to find what it is to be himself. Being turned into a punk by a Goth and Tomboy girlfriends might be one of those ways.

Just a bunch of ideas at the moment, but Alix/Adrien/Juleka throuple is already essential for a lot of them, such as him finding out that he's not human.

Day Demons - Adrien Agreste ShortFic

But there are also demons during the day.

They come in small but deadly doses.

Sometimes it was his father's disapproving gaze after he wasn't good enough at something he was told to do.

Sometimes it was the fact how cold his room felt since the disappearance of his mother.

Sometimes it were the rare times he and Ladybug had a small dispute after an akuma fight, usually hidden concern which turned to ire after one of them endangered themselves too much.

Sometimes it was Plagg's insensitivity at times Adrien needed a comforting hand and a listening ear.

Sometimes it was his own mind which haunted his sleep and made a sunny day appear dark.

But then there were the good things during the day and night.

Like his lady's smile.

Or his princess' beautiful laughter when she would laugh at his puns.

His ladys appreciative but often short lived chin rub.

His princess' warm smile and accepting gaze, as if he was the most innocent thing in the world and he was incapable of doing mistakes.

The gorilla's rare show of empathy when his father and him had a fight, and he would pat Adrien on the back or secretly bring croissants to his room.

Natalie's subtle care, in the way she, while still obeying his father, sometimes bent the rules a bit to make Adrien feel more comfortable.

There were demons during the day, but angels were always there to meet them.
